Young Business Leader - B-LEAD 2026 is a competition simulating Management Trainee - a recruitment programme at leading corporations, particularly concentrating on assessing comprehensive leadership skills based on the A.S.K competency model.
The competition is co-organized by the Business & English Club (BEC) and Foreign Trade University – Ho Chi Minh City Campus. B-LEAD 2026 covers five key functions: Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Human Resources. The competition promises to deliver high-quality, hands-on experiences and serve as a strategic bridge between businesses and young students with comprehensive leadership potential.
Beyond test results, B-LEAD places greater emphasis on observing candidates' behaviors during the competition, providing a holistic view of their leadership potential and development throughout the competition. In addition, final scores are accumulated across multiple rounds, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation.
B-LEAD incorporates interactive and role-playing formats, such as
real-world business simulations and gamified challenges, to evaluate candidates' A.S.K. competencies.
B-LEAD 2026 introduces a comprehensive Feedback System, to provide detailed, personalized feedback from distinguished judges.

ROUND 1: TRANSCEND THE TRIAL

Case Interview (22/05 - 25/05)
Candidates complete their application by submitting personal information and a CV while selecting one of five fields: Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, or HR. Upon submission, they will take an Online Test as instructed by the Organizing Committee.
APPLICATION FORM & CV SCAN ONLINE TEST (04/04 - 06/05)
Integrates testing of attitudes, cognitive skills, socio-economic knowledge according to the A.S.K model. Select the Top 100 best candidates to enter the Initial Interview.
Initial Interview (11/05 - 14/05)
Evaluate candidates' personal abilities, economic knowledge, leadership qualities, interview skills, and attitudes to select the Top 60 best contestants.
Candidates demonstrate their skills and knowledge relating to their specific functions by solving functional cases. Top 40 best contestants will advance into Round 2.
ROUND 2: REFINE THE LEAP

Training Days aims to equip candidates with relevant and necessary knowledge and skills in the competition.
Assessment Center (07/06/2025)
The Assessment Centre is designed to evaluate candidates' attitude, teamwork, communication, and leadership skills through an engaging format that incorporates competitive elements and gamified challenges, ultimately selecting the Top 8 contestants to advance to Round 3.
Career Glory Night
Career Glory Night 2026 will be a warm and welcoming evening designed to give participants the opportunity to connect, engage in conversations, and build relationships with fellow candidates and businesses.
ROUND 3: LEAD TO EVOLUTION

Top 8 finalists will compete in the B-LEAD 2025 Grand Finale, striving for the championship title.
PART 1 - BUSINESS CASE SOLVING
Candidates are divided into 2 teams of 4. They will be assigned a business case 3 days in advance. There will be 12 mins per team for presentation and 20 mins for Q&A.
PART 2 - LIVE-ON-STAGE BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Top 8 from Round 3.1 will compete against each other to complete a series of Business Challenges on stage. Top 3 candidates with the highest scores accumulated from Round 3.1 and Round 3.2 will advance to Round 3.3 - The Leadership Debate.
PART 3 - FINAL CHALLENGE
The Top 3 candidates go head-to-head in leadership mindset and capability to determine the Champion.
